A MENTOR: A true Inspiration, A Guide in My Professional Development As an educator, I believe that Professional Development allows me to grow and adapt to the educational landscapes and " Mentorship" is a vital pillar in one's professional growth.

I have been fortunate to have a mentor who has profoundly impacted my career- Mrs. Nagamani as my Mentor has been more than just a guide. She has been an inspiration, a motivator and a source of wisdom added to my professional journey. From the beginning, Mani ma'am has recognized my potential and encouraged me to pursue opportunities that would challenge me and expand diverse skill set.

Under her guidance, I have not only developed my technical skills required in the field of education but also nurture essential soft skills such as leadership, communication in expert perspective and resilience. Her constructive and constant feedback have helped me learn to navigate challenges with confidence and embrace a growth mindset. One of the most important valuable lessons my mentor has taught me is the importance of continuous learning to stay updated in the field of education and never settle for complacency. Her unwavering belief in my abilities has been a driving force inspiring me to take on new challenges and step out of my comfort zone. Every interaction with her is like a learning for life and her high expectations pushed me prepare effective lesson plans incorporating life-skills like- Multiple intelligences, 21st century skills, leader-in-me qualities and Thinking Routines as essential skills required for learners. Pleasure is always mine to get an opportunity to work with Nagamani Ma'am!!

Ms. Nagamani has been my mentor for 4 years. She is a visionary leader. Her unique ability of analysing the strengths of each team member has enabled us to give our best. I have personally attended many of her sessions and workshops.

Session on effective questioning made me realise the importance of asking the right questions to evoke inquisitiveness in learners. Her workshop on lesson planning taught me the practical difference between learning objective and outcome and also helped me to use blooms taxonomy to frame the same.

She is a leader who has shaped my career from a homeroom teacher to a Science facilitator. Her keen observation and constructive feedback has always helped me to work on my areas of improvement and progress each day. As the saying goes- A leader leads through an example. Ms. Nagamani proves it. I am blessed to have such a mentor who is always a well wisher and my guiding light.
